Shadow

Shadow

A Poem by hardeep sabharwal
"

The past and the future

"
All those legends of your liveliness and courage,
Entered in my bones as ants,
Forming me the ant hill,
Like a newly wedded girl's bangle's lyric,
Chanting day and night,
I don't understand,
There must be some other word,
Which can decipher envy and love in sync,
The more I envied, the more I loved,
The more I loved, the more I envied,
You wished, just as all parents do,
I failed, and left it,
For some other day to discover,
When a friend told,
I should quit,
I cannot be more than a shadow,
With you,
I can agree to these words, but
Can future shed its past?
And there is nothing more magical,
In my life,
Than solace of your love,
So I went, to not go.

this took me a two time read to figure out the inner meaning of this piece. this is extremely superb poem.
which has intriguing thoughts revolving around the whole theme
something which has an essence of mystic sadness , or lack of hope.
hard choice of words makes this piece to tie together...
even though the last line seemed to be little messy but on the go its a splendid write
enjoyed reading it ............ peace :)

We cannot rid ourselves of our shadow. It may seem to disappear, but it is always there a a reminder of darkness...

"Can the future shed its past?" An absolutely, stunningly brilliant line.

NOTES: I think you should tweak this a bit for grammar.

You are welcome...:)....
Past is just the good story, future is unknown. Tell stories, dream about future - write stories on future but live in present. That is all which matters, because everyone and everything dies.
