Incarnation of words/Satan

Incarnation of words/Satan

A Poem by hardeep sabharwal

How many more times
Will God be incarnated
To end the unremitting Satan?
Will the Satan of greed in our mind
Ever leave us,
And the cup of every child be full of the milk of
love,
And every starving stomach get the bread of
justice?
How many more times will the bullets and bombs
Wound the chest of Mother Earth?
How many more times will the Satan of lust for
empires
Devour the kingdom of nature?
Will ever the wars based on caste and color
Come to an end?
Will ever the gender-based society
Shed the ecdysis of hypocrisy?
How many more times
Will we fail to teach the coming generations
The lessons of humanity?
How many more times
Will we fail to kill the internal Satan?
Will ever the words
Justice, equality and harmony
Emerge from books into the world
In their full-fledged incarnation?

If we plan to kill Satan, we must kill the one who plans to kill him. Kill the doer. When the doer is dead, then Satan cannot survive. And the doer shall die; we can be sure of this. Excellent piece with a powerful message, hardeep.

Thank you so much
A well penned railing against the evils of humankind. We can’t keep waiting for someone to fix things; we all need to work for a better world.

Apathy is acquiescence is compliance is approval.

Hands and hearts and minds and voices committed to working for tolerance, peace and social justice everywhere, always.

As writers and poets with often write of the hopes and dreams of a people and a generation, but you words are for all time and all history as we fail to learn from the past. Well done.

You said it right Hardeep bhai, the Satan is inside us. Those who recognize and kill it first can only begin their human life afterwards. This is a very strong poem which everyone should read.

Some great writer wrote once. Evil need good and good need evil. Never a complete winner. The elders must teach respect, concern and kindness. A powerful poem. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.
