Karmic Garden

Karmic Garden

A Poem by H.L. Cerveise
"

At the time I wrote this I was reading The Dancing Wu Li Masters by Gary Zukav. This book introduced me to what I felt but could not put into words a mystical interpretation of quantum physics.

"

Karmic Garden

The yellow sun in all its charm glowed brightly.

Eyes filled with dreamlike hope seized all.

Feathery wings flickered in the ethereal sunshine.

A crystal cool water tumbled across the proffered valley.

The fragile red squirrel gathered the fallen nuts.

Multicolored insects fluttered to-and-fro.

Love in all its glory was uplifted everywhere.

Slowly, the gods turn the wheel of destiny,

Yang in all his glory overshadows yin.

The crystal water of the now past summer drizzles through the ooze.

Redden eyes become engulfed in doubts and fears.

The little cold squirrel burrows deeper into the frosted ground.

Green and brown are superseded by much confusing pigmentation.

That which was uplifted is now overthrown.

Fickle gales painfully rip the death from life,

Once ripe fruit falls tearfully to the crusty sod.

The grinding mills of the gods' crush on,

Yang swallows yin.

Harsh and windy frost be his comrade.

Deathly, devastation is wrought in anger,

Howling white cold crystals cover life with fear.

Long and sorrowful be his reign.

The brief respites are long forgotten.

A Summer past seems a dream.

The nightmares of daylight echo through the mountain.

Fall's bitter water is frozen and flows no more.

Anxiety rides the polluted wintry air,

Jeering and haughty he looms over the shallow valley.

The battle scarred hands of the gods' labor hard.

Yin in desperation finds her glory without yang.

Wu Li lifts its head above the turbulent waters.

Sweet water of all flows swiftly to the dead dried loam.

Bare feet feel the warm and welcome soil.

Slowly, and softly she blooms.

Behold that which was only seen is now embraced in its entirety.

Her smooth warm arms tenderly engulf the rain-bowed buds.

The furry squirrel frolics in the brilliant sun.

Ears are filled with the symphony of nature's instruments.

Her happiness sends radiant light to the barren shaded mountain.

The beautiful garden and its strong stone walls be hers.

Mankind watches the role of the dice.

Yin is yin and cannot be yang.

Wu Li sees the universe beyond the stones.

Now you the reader might say, "Where are the physics in this writing?" You may think it was all about a woman and nothing else. This is just a dance between a man and a woman. Well maybe it is or maybe its not.

I liked the poem and you are welcome.
I do not know about Wu Li but I understand that this is the representation of the cycle of creation and merging into pure consciousness..creation being the Yin and Consciousness the Yang. And I loved this line.
"Mankind watches the role of the dice" but mankind is in ignorance assuming unnecessary responsibility. Excellent enlightening poem.
