Mind Games

Mind Games

A Poem by Ksenia Kazantseva
"

i just lost the game

"
I saw the truth in my dreams.
You fed me a lot of what I wanted to hear
I wasn't looking for you, you sought out for me.
From a distance I'm free
... but that look makes me weak.
Consuming me whole, I just want to breathe.
Your armour masks the intentions beneath
Fluently wording your next lead
... my heart skips a beat.
In this game you're a cheat.
Knowing how I feel, you keep planting the seed.
And again,
I'm down on my knees.
And I wonder,
why you picked to play me.

Ah, those treacherous mind games! War guerillas planting seeds. Seems like a gaslighting of some kind has happened. You’ve expressed your feelings well and some interesting word choices...I particularly like the line, ‘tie armour masks the intention beneath’ well done!
