Aide-mémoire

Aide-mémoire

A Poem by MCS
"

The wound is the place where the light enters you. ~ Rumi

"

Gloom approaches

And drapes over

Me

The darkness is a void

The eats at the soul silently

Devouring

Prayers are offered

For a reprieve from peril

Sigh

Better times seem so far away

Light a distant

Memory

Surrounded by darkness

Waiting, hoping, pleading

Please

First light breaks

Sleepless night, restless mind

Exhale
