I Know

If you can look within yourself,
I know you're sure to find,
You can escape the loneliness
If you can just rewind.
To where you first felt emptiness
And where you first felt pain,
To where you felt knocked down so much,
You couldn't rise again. 

By searching through these memories,
I know that you will see
Just where you made mistakes in life
And just where you should be.
You may need help to realize
That you still have a chance.
To have some fun, to live your life,
To smile, laugh and dance.

But I know that you can do it
If you can trust your heart
To pull you through your times of need,
And not just fall apart.
You used to help me forge a path
And lead me where to go.
You don't have to explain a thing,
Cause I already know.
