A Poem by jenniewren (J.W. Bouwman)

sugarrich
you smile
and i break
and i break
like waves against a shore
that crumbles eagerly
before we
have ever even touched

Lovely skeleton. You always made them with a skin so binding yet still translucent to the eye and I see your distinct linguistics as the meaning key and reason why bones dont shuffle off this earth and at this moment as your mind reflects an ocean as it laps lovingly on beach as grains give way beneath a sky of stars long since turned memory to all but notions brim with romance right now your words are a raft upon which I choose to float and forget how I am always close to drowning

The intensity in each line
a very short write
filled with emotion

This is so beautiful in it's simplicity, and I don't mean that to sound derogatory. I'm talking about how the simplest of looks, leads to the realisation that the connection has already been made before you've even met. Lovely words, wonderfully said. Thank you for sharing this.

Wow. The shortest and sweetest revelation of love, or lust, I've ever read. No beating around the bush here....!

This poem made me just want to give up...
and stop fighting....in the best way.

The simple poems can have the deepest impact.

If ever a poem left me speechless this would be one of them. I love the ambiguity in the ending. Makes me feel like my finger is still leaving it's daydreams sketched into the sand.
