The three monkeys lie.

The three monkeys lie.

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Speak no evil.
See no evil.
Hear no evil.

At least the first one is a choice,
not just a choice of denial.

One choice to make a change.
Not to ignore.

Guess I was wrong.

One of the monkeys was o.k.

This gives me new prospective. I've seen fangs behind the hands of the first one, red glowing eyes hidden by the second and long pointed ears behind the hands of the third. An expression infering that we should control our basic instincts. Silly me. I love how so few words reveal so much in your works.

There is something profoundly wonderful about this poem, I'm sad I don't have any back ground music for it though, there was a song that popped into my head earlier today
and now that I think of it, it does fit :) Jackson Browne - Doctor My Eyes
