Blink

The girl sighed, and tapped her bitten blue pen against the frames of her chunky glasses. Her forehead was furrowed with the prospect of the arduous task that lay before her; her nose wrinkled with the sheer injustice of it all. The annoying, blinking cursor sat silently on the screen before her. Blink. Blink. Blink. Blink. Blink.
The girl blinked. 
No more excuses! Thought the girl. No more distractions! Take a deep breath. 
Finally, she began to write.
