"It Drifts to You"

"It Drifts to You"

A Poem by Kameron Armitage

If given the chance

most just blend in with the crowd

march like cows through a populated New York

or talk only as others speak

they ask

only after a question exists

cry

only when given a reason

yell

only when angry

die

only when they cant take this world anymore

Enough

there shall be no more blending

no dress codes

no reasons to cry

the thought of death will no longer frighten

nor will the thought of originality

we will make voices heard

and use our emotions to support the minds of the sick

the twisted will heal and join society once more

never again shall we feel like we do not belong

there will be nothing to belong to

we will belong to ourselves

be who we want

see what we want

hear what we want

the pain we once felt is simply disposed of

never to bee seen again

the once quick and frantic heartbeat slow to a steady peace

we will join in reform

unique reform

and shout to the world

Look at me now.
