I am Human

Our faults make us perfect.

I am human,

I make mistakes,

I feel sad,

I fall in love,

I feel heartache.

 

I am human,

I cannot do everything,

I do not make the world turn,

I am not the center,

And I never say so.

 

I am human,

I can hear,

The words that you sneer,

Thinking I am oblivious,

When I'm not.

 

I am human,

I am not able to shut out emotions,

But I can wear masks,

I can shut out people,

I do but I don't.

 

I am human,

I make mistakes,

I feel sad,

I fall in love,

I feel heartache,

Thus I am invincible.

I really enjoyed this. Good flow, good phrasing. It is true, we are human, we make mistakes and we do feel heartache. We can also revel in the meaningful meanderings spoken by the few who have true understanding. Many thanks for this.
