A Mother's Goodbye.

A Mother's Goodbye.

A Poem by Thomas Fitzgerald
"

For anyone who has lost their Mother - my prayer is with you! This was written for my Grandmother (My Mother's, Mother). However I do dedicate it to all Mother's no longer with us!

"
A stare of blindness,
A touch of prayer,
A cast of silence,
Your no longer there.
A Mother's touch,
A heart of gold,
A mind of secrets,
None you told.
A home you made,
A home for all,
A home that's safe,
The home did fall.
A Mother is gone,
An angel is born,
A memory has left,
Her children torn.
A love has not stopped,
A love is still here,
A love is forever,
Her love is near.

This is so beautiful, and simple, and true -- now I know this poem has had over 600 views, and I would not be able to go thru them all, but the first your seems like it should be you're, but was pointed out previously, so maybe you intended it that way.

Heartbreaking and deep, nice job. And mothers do seem to have such a quality, not always found in specifically to females or one mother to one child, funny enough. My late grandmother was a mother to all her children and all children, still miss her. You did a great job with the poem >.^

This poem nicely expresses the hurt and feeling of loss when a loved one dies. Love is indeed forever, the real 'force' in the universe.

Oh damn, yeah i can really feel the emotion in this. The way it flowed was incredibly smooth, and the rhyme scheme made it even better. Personally, i think this would make a good epitaph. A perfect blend of sorrow and peace, i feel that that is the best way to feel towards the dead.
