Lay In Your Graves

Lay In Your Graves

A Poem by Lauren Nicks

Wake up world
and open your eyes
Unmindful to surroundings
oblivious as war time cries.
Leading our creation into a path of destruction
but we blame one another
When it's only you at fault
and we continue to kill our brother.
The man shall laugh
as the mother will cry
Because she had hope for this nation
but we put desire to high.
We have followed the man
greeted his views at the ground
Now we all must lay in our graves
For the Devil we have crowned.
