How to revolt

How to revolt

A Poem by Lauren Nicks
"

Questioning how anyone in this society can actually hold any freedom.

"
How do you revolt
once all is lost
When your own survival
has a cost.

How to disobey
in this society
When even living
there is a fee.

The man so strong
the suits so cruel
Making all their puppets
making all a fool.

These three stanza are really beautiful
How to disobey
in this society
When even living
there is a fee.
Lines above I fancy the most in this poem. Thank you for sharing such a lovely poem

Thank you! I am glad you enjoyed it! :)
Nice. Reminds me that nobody really wants to rock the boat after they've been inculcated and broken by the system, and being demoralized by trying to fix problems that we ourselves created from time immorial.

i like this. to answer some of the hopelessness you present i would say that freewill is they key to all of this. they, these "suits so cruel" can never win because of it. We are untouchable. Your poem caused my rant, not me! : )

you should rant, no structure, no rhyme, see what happens. That will get your writing going.
