Unfortunate Fly

Unfortunate Fly

A Poem by Lexi Richard

I wish you would see
how our brains aren't the same
and how yours isn't geared like mine
what makes me grin
and giggle like a kid
isn't what makes you warm inside

I wish you'd notice
how I'm so blue deep down
and how I don't understand why
although you're balanced
and free as a bird
I feel much more like a fly

I don't expect you'll
suddenly understand
or you'll have an epiphany
I can't help how I work
or what my mind churns
but I deserve to be happy

This is so raw and emotional. We are all worthy of happiness and I love how you ended this! Really nice piece! Please check out my piece "When Eating Becomes an Obsession"!!!!

Thank you and I will!
I totally can relate to this piece. People always look at me as being strange or eccentric. But in the end I'm just me...
