The Unborn

The Unborn

A Poem by Maximus. R.
"

Me Philosophy

"

Forgive me my son for I have failed you in nativity, while I may be invincible,

I'm powerless to protect you from this cold, cold world.

My dearest child, this world is not destined for someone as precious and beautiful as you, hence you will forevermore remain amid the unborn.

As a mother, I often fear for the safety of my children. When I was younger I vowed to never have kids but over time that eventually changed. They are beautiful gifts and their innocence always amaze me. Still, however, I agree with your prose. The world now is a cold, hard element. I'm saddened by your Author's Note but can certainly understand why you wrote it. This is a profound piece of writing.

hmmmmm...i believe that one poble with having kids is simply that they're another thing to lose in life...and very painful losses that are locked in your heart can be very unhealthy sometimes

beautiful write, I understand what you mean...I worry all the time when my kids are away in school or daycare. you try not to let anything happen but you can't protect them from everything. My mind is never at ease even while I'm sleeping. I keep my ears alert as I sleep listening to every cough and move my boys make. I think it's sweet of you to make that decision. Best wishes!

The unborn child is the sacrifice in poetic world. Protecting our child from the natural calamities/unexpected incidents are nowadays very tough in nature. But the human kind.....you think it over.......it needs!

I can understand your decision in this cold world we live in. I am scared every day for my boys. My life forever changed the day I gave birth. There is a certain fear that will never go away, almost painful.

Thanks for sharing your personal view on why this world is so unsafe for our children. Chock full of wisdom!

This is well delivered. It truly displays the sad truth of the where the world has come and the rare devotion some of us have to protect our (our could be) children. I couldn't agree with you more in your thoughts that form this poem. You are very passionate in your writing. I admire that. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your writings!
