I'm trying to say something ...but just not sure what...lol...anyway the movie I am referring to is "Precious"

She read 1984 as a teen

It scared the hell out of her

Although she didn't understand it

And this sort of confused her

so she never forgot it

Funny how things can be

not that it has to be important, ya know like

a birthday party or something....

It could be a touch, a book, a smell

That brought your senses to full speed

 

She watched the news the other night

And for a moment she freezes

He talked about how he mis-spoke, was mis-quoted, didn't really mean what he said

Although what he said was really really bad

 

Watched a movie the other day

about a girl who woke up one day

There really was no reason for it, some could say,

most thought her heads were in the clouds, anyway

 

Talked to a man the other day

who saw his future before him,

dark and gray, he knew he's not gonna make it till middle age

Yet he was still so deliciously happy

In junior high school the teacher described a light year to the class.
I was all.....ffftt.whogivesaratsass lemmeoutahere..already.
Then, 20odd yrs later I walked around in a daze for two weeks trying to get my head around it....

life moving in kaleidoscopic panoramas~ view through open windows into moments in the lives of . . . .
the movie~ my goodness~ I read the book first, PUSH~ and was torn apart and rebuilt on every page along with Precious~ the movie I simply couldn't do~ the book left its forever imprint in a frame of my mind~ what monsters dwell within the hearts of mankind to be able to inflict such damage in such careless ways upon a child . . . . .
