the streets are full tonight....

pain of one kind or another is universal

the streets are full of wanderers 

full of wasted ,throwing up young ones

and old ones

lovers holding each other for dear life

others with the desire to leave their wretched strife

the streets are  full

of songs

of screams

and of the swaying

and swearing  of

millions

lost

on the brink of a new year

holding the knowlege

that  their  once beloved.. he or she, will neer return again ,ever never

that  the he or  she harbors

hate

and love for a stranger

with an entirely different heart

and soul

and that knowledge

leads to an almost insurmountable

toll  

FAR GREATER

THAN an earthquake 

instead , a nuclear explosion

in the soul...

and the streets are full

tonight...............

New years Eve sometimes reminds me of that song...and the idea of how lonely it can feel in a crowd, when the heart is crying out for something it cannot have...peace.
