Winds Of Life

I wrote this when I was 11 years old, and I was determined to put it at the beginning of my soon-to-be epic fantasy novel. It was the beginning of my love for writing. Just wanted to share it. :)

Beneath the golden doors of Heaven,
Above the burning gates of Hell,
The Winds of Life have written out
The things which only time can tell.

A silent hush, a child is born,
To save the worlds of three;
Where bodies fall, while ashes rise
To sky beyond the sea.

When heroes fall into the tales,
And all are clothed in strife,
Then will the child come forth anew
And stir the Winds of Life.

If you want to review it, go for it. But I wrote it when I was little and don't really plan to spend time editing it or anything. It's kinda short too. Of course, if you do wanna review it, critiques are always welcome!

I almost wish I could go back to when I was 11 and retrieve that creativity you have as a kid. Idk, I just feel like as people grow older, we lose it, along with our childlike innocence. :(

If this were at the beginning of an epic fantasy, and it was the only part of the book I read while trying to find a book to read, I'd pick this book. Great Structure, great flow, and implies a great story to follow. Since you're not 11 anymore (I presume) I look forward to seeing how your abilities have evolved.
