An elder to younger

An elder to younger

A Poem by Saki Kikkio

I have seen love
and hate
I have been loved
and hated

I have seen Life
and death
I have been alive
and now not

Swirling passion, joy, and happiness
Balanced with anger, rage, and sadness
My life has felt it all
More than once

I have had my breath taken away
And forced back in
My heart has soared
And landed painfully

My life has been fulfilling
I will be sad to see it go
But go it must
So I say good bye

I leave to you all
My love and dreams
Worldly possessions are meaningless
But if wanted you may have

An elder to younger
Let me rest
Do not weep over my grave
Smile there and feel my peace
