“Old Stones”

Meet me at Machu Picchu

When the moon has climbed the sky

As the spirits watch stars through the old stones

And no one’s there but you and I

Then you can tell me stories

Of the world when it was new

As the spirits listen in from the old stones

And no one’s there but me and you

The rain could start to fall

Washing Intihuatana clean

Where hearts used to bleed upon these old stones

And no one’s there to you but me

Meet me at Machu Picchu

No, it was only in a dream

As my heart’s just another one of these old stones

And there’s no one here but me
