A Girl For All Seasons~

A Girl For All Seasons~

A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole

In a box a girl of ivory, wrapped in golden foil

her hair in ringlet fairy tales adorned with dreams upcoiled

summer baby gives good skin, lips plump and ripe for kissing

her bend of hip a silken place, for you to rest in reminiscing

Out on a limb a girl in leaves, climbing through the branches

her autumn hands divine your past in scrolls, your future chances

she dives between your preconceptions, comes out the other side

bends your disillusion, says "I'm not your savior, just your guide."

In a cave a girl of rime, with honey covered hands

welcomes through her chimes of ice a decorated man

she feeds him songs in scales, no reason needed for this fare

he curls himself between her ribs, she says "Don't think, and just be there."

In a wreath of blossoms fair, her forehead ringed with tulips

a girl surmises all the pain she's caused, and all the bruises

without intent she's come to be a source of affirmation

whispering, "I’m just the sign, and not your destination."

~sometimes we meet people who embody lessons we need to learn on this journey~the complications arise when one of the individuals understands that they are a arrow pointing while the other individual believes he/she has found the foundation on which to build a home~
there are just persons (totally admitting it) who weren't designed to have foundations built into their bones~

"I'm not your savior, just your guide." & "I’m just the sign, and not your destination." Says it all~

Those two lines make this into what life is, teachers salted into our lives here and there, our job is to recognize them when they appear, then learn the lesson. However, when we meet such entities, "goodbye" is a very hard word, as we are leaving a piece of our naive selves behind to venture out into a world a little less brightly lit.
I totally agree that there are some, more than most think, that do not desire or fit into the society's norm category.

With each passing season, journey we go on we meet, greet...some
not so good for us, and some very much so. This flowed like a
fairy tale...wound us in its branches and so the story unfolds.

This is just lyrical kitty, and a new idea to think over.

Your Resting spot Busted me up and the rest thrilled me in one.
Thrills, damn, are juicing me along in 2 too.
I've swallowed the suggestive nature of your trance baby.
Let me shake my head and do some jumping jacks, come to and say, "You disturb me with your goodness.

Ah, I've seen this often, and have been on both sides of this fence. Both very scary places to be (though, I'm much more afraid to be the foundation for the home when all I wish is to be the hotel room...). This is striking; perhaps the greats have met their superior?

It's a complex tale. You cannot ever be what someone needs and be authentic, unless who you are is what they need.
