Body Lengths & Measures In Pleasures~

Body Lengths & Measures In Pleasures~

A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole

How do I find

the paradigm of locked lockets in the grazed stone

of your throat

find myself wearing your skin at sunrise

by a cherry wood cutting board

an ash knife dancing the webbing between my thumb

and index finger

indexing the recipe of animal ghost lights

pushing the deep hip of the night

back into the glazed forest

beyond the cottage by the sea

the residue of wolfen joints knocking bones

into the dishwasher

remembering my body out of yours

for another human day

in the blue velvet of my lovely

dissonance;

the hum follows me everywhere

the sacral threads branch in vines

until my spine

aches to fall

and I wake up in a pile of dreams

outside a bar

where lonely men

where violent men

where men with nothing to lose

in their killing moods

wait for girls like me

in my Hollister lies

and flashing, raven eyes

a wolf in mean lean against my thighs

a basket of measures

of sideways baked pleasures

on a graceful elbow bound with pearls

that scatter under moon’s full light

and I find myself

again

in pattern

crawling through your skin

for the taste of berry jam

at the corners of your lips

so many lines i loved in this. ' find myself wearing your skin at sunrise' suggesting lovers wrapped up together, that sense of closeness. 'pushing the deep hip of the night' stunning metaphor 'until my spine aches to fall' all the unreality of a dream world, 'on a graceful elbow bound with pearls' suggesting something very feminine and contrasting with the 'wolf in mean lean'. The whole poem has a surreal edge that left me melting into the poetry. amazing writing!

It is so often said that flow is mentioned too much in a review, I disagree...your work is some of the best flow I have ever read love...it rolls the reader over each line like honey on the tongue...superb work!
You could chase shadows away for eternity and more with the light you hold and create hon!

Third time I've come back to this. Why? Because it's good.

There is a stunning sharpness to your turn of phrase and imagery, it is original to say it bluntly. You capture images in a way I can only be jealous of. This is why I come back and read your work.

Seems as though Little Red Ridding Hood has more reasons to kill a wolf then most. This piece is human. It breathes of mistake and wants for relief. I hope it finds is sanctuary, then again maybe I don't. Beautiful words don't come together like this without reason. It was a pleasure to have met this one; lovely in all of its syllables.

This evokes the ultimate question: When do we finally break? When do the skeletons & ghosts stuffed in the closet outweigh our will? Or, do we carry the weight as heavy as it gets to spare those not strong enough to hear the tales? I love how you push reader to think, you dare us to imagine the unimaginable & then tie a pretty red bow on it.

this made me think of the words.....there's a Ghost inside me...and it wants to say I'm sorry, but I'm not sorry. Quote...Ladytron. :) Your poems are spiritual in so many ways. Yes I feel like I'm in Underland....but reality is still witnessing the harsh reality of human failure....sexual sin, and lost hope...and earthly pleasures.

You are one dangerous, extremely attractive vixen.
