I Guess This Is My Best Guess At A Love Song~

I Guess This Is My Best Guess At A Love Song~

A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole

I feel more comfortable dismembering adjectives

between the concept of a sharp noun

and the distended allure of a serrated action verb

when I am required to paraphrase your meaning

and I squirm

and shuffle my suffixes around in my medicine bag

wondering which witch will be the itch

in your side

when, yet again, I don’t have the right answer

and all I am doing

instead of indulging your tests

is dressing you in prefixes

tripping adversity

with adverbs placed just so

just sharp enough

and slick enough

to slip the metaphors into your hipbones

and the similes around your jawbone

clamp that tramp mouth closed

lock in every “f**k”

with the pharmaceuticals

and the unwinding binding wine

slosh

slosh

and lush slush

skin and bones and mush

I guess this is my best guess at a love song

and I think it’s pretty okay

if you know

I was writing it to Language

seducing grammar over peppermint white mocha

rolling calligraphy around inside my cherry cheeks

with sugarcubes

honey sticks

pick up sticks

spelling L O V E on thin jade

lapping lush concepts

from the side of an ivory bowl

a poet with a slip of silk

over a shoulder

coy ploy stenciled into velvet bone

a robe of language

creating its brocade around warm

papyrus

skin

hip word's connected to the heart verb
and here's the word the lord did serve
'you shall offer up an apple bright
in the forests of your night
and when the sky is clear of woe
no more hunting shall you go'
so she took her vorpal sword in hand
and re-arranged things just grand

This is one of those times when you leave me speechless. All I can say is that you're the best lover Language has ever had, lucky Language.

All you need is love.... dah de dah de dah. I tell you, I'd ratehr have danced to this at my wedding than Brian Bloody Addams. ChaRles Addams maybe. I loved it. It's work like yours that keeps this place alive and vibrant. Take away work like this and you're left with pap. And yes. It's beautiful, and filled with great lines. But that's waht I expect from you. Quality and...well that's about all you do that's predictable. Superb

Love is the one word that spews innumerable definitions -most incorrect- and so many interpretations that it could create its own language... and still be misunderstood if we spoke it fluently...
