parting.

parting.

A Poem by sherie carter
"

Leaving someone you love is not ever easy. Sometimes you have to move on in life, but you always will have love for that person and wish to come back to them.

"

You asked me not to go

I started to cry

the ground was cold with snow

eyes blue as the sky.

I left you standing there

your face full of pain

a chill was in the air

a thick sheet of rain.

Love you always, I will

curls black as the night

love for me do not kill

come back, I still might.

aww. parting truly is sweet sorrow.
this piece was something different, and the rhyming flowed. as for some of the lines, to me they didn't quite fit. maybe it's just me. or maybe i should come back later and give it another look.

This was very nice. The beginning was somewhat depressing but it got better at the end. :)
Also, the last stanza sounded like Yoda from Star Wars was talking. Lol.

Good job! =D

This reminds me of that winter day where I had to say goodbye to a good friend who was moving away. Your poem is short, sweet, and brings hope to the broken. I really like this.^^

Very nice. You've got good rhymes and decent meter, setting a chilly, lonesome mood.
