Journey of a Poem

Journey of a Poem

A Poem by Augustus
"

This is about a Poem's life, from its conception to its legacy....

"
Senses ballads sing
Of the swirl of Nature's Mind
In silent musing

Percolates the thought.
And around the poet's heart
Silver dreams are wrought.

Words then swiftly flow.
Into gushing, poignant streams
Revelations grow

Words are part and whole
And they dance to melodies
Of Structure and Soul.

Lack of labour pain.
On Time's spotless parchment old
Ephemeral stain

Yet preserved and etched
Scrolls of Time unfurled again
And for eons fetched.

Your mellifluousness is what attracts the reader so much in each write of yours. Your adherence to traditional aspects of poetry imbues every poem with a sense of warmth, and familiarity.
You have chosen your words very meticulously in this poem, as shown by the penultimate stanza. And, judging by the way this poem has been rendered, you have chosen the right structure to depict a "journey". The poem has a steady flow of thoughts, which blend seamless from one stanza to the next. Just like the journey of a poem.
Very well done, once again!

The flow in your writing is certainly grasping.. love the 1st stanza in your description..
Silent musings, is almost a perfect definition..:)
A poetry is indeed a song, whose tune is defined by the poet.:)
Definitely hum to this one..:)

This comes alive so vividly through your revelation, beautifully woven through feelings, to thoughts, to words expressed. You delve deeply into the psyche and reveal the unseen...

As a Brit I can see from your writing how the English poets have influenced your poety. There's a controlled by natural flow to your work and it's very beautiful. I look forward to reading more ..
