Not good enough!

Oh! He says I’m not good enough...

To match him and his ways!

So he just can’t hang around,

With someone, as useless as me.

 

I just stare at him wondering,

Why he is being such a know-it-all;

After all, he has not achieved anything great,

And then, won’t his attitude lead to his fall?

 

He leaves me in confusion,

Doubt and despair line my mind;

I doubt whether I should try again,

Or leave it all behind.

Am I really turning into a serious person? I cannot write anything but serious poetry these days! : )

Woah that was really good. And it's completely true. There are some guys like that, all who need to be hit in the head, and you totally nailed it.

I love how the feelings line up, and just make sense. While reading it I couldn't help but nod my head. And after reading I couldn't help but say; "Okay....here's what you need to do....DUMP HIM!" So it got a really honest reaction out of me. ^.^

All in all it's a really well written, heartfelt piece that can really touch someone.

Well, Dear Akshita,
HAH! If this arrogantly egotistical guy isn't insightful enough to see how very special you truly are, enough (at least) to respect you with a sweet attitude, he certainly does not deserve such a high caliber lady as yourself, and you are far better off to bide your time 'til the right one comes along … it just isn't worth enduring such a selfishly abusive person.
That you wrote this poem about him and his untoward conduct should be a big RED flag to kick him to the curb and find someone else who has the ability to see you as the wonderful treasure you truly are!
Excellent poetry, too, Akshita, with topnotch grammar and flow that is so hard to do in your first Unrhymed Quatrain, which highlights your excellent writing skill, and the two Rhyming Quatrains are spot-on, and your keen intelligence is showing, too! : )

I'm a massive know it all, definitely not a snob though. I just justify my unbound ego by not talking complete time wasting meaningless bullshit. Doubt's a curse you put upon yourself and only you can dispel it.
