When life takes you away....

This just popped in my head and I thought you all might like it. =)

Why does life have you here....
In a place full of fear....
Where nothing good ever happens....
And death is near....

I've always wondered why....
My heart still beats....
Is it for the pain to return....
And take me away....

Soon I will leave this world....
And all it's heartache....
To live once again....
With my true creator....

Thought I would write my first poem for you to read. I sure hope you enjoy it. It's not perfect or all in rhyme. But it came from my heart and out of my head. Thanks. =)

Nicely done, Essentia. For a first poem, it's not bad. Every person won't have the same reactions as another and I find this one touching, but that's me. I'm a little odd so my view of the world is a little messed up. :D

Well written poem. I can sort of relate to some of the feelings expressed in it. Ever person who reads a poem will get something different out of it. So far I've seen rhetorical questions that I believe have an answer, or at least a false cliche that can answer them.

I truely enjoyed this It's ok if it does not rhyme not all words do like for instance the word "orange" when you rhyme there is no word that rhymes with it this was very good i truely enjoyed reading it keep up the good writeing :) i'm looking forward to reading more keep it up :) plus no matter where it comes from the heart is the best place to start :)
