About Me

I'm 43 and currently live in Sacramento, CA. I'm a Biologist by degree, a writer by choice, and a contractor/freelancer by necessity.

Of course I'm here because I'd love advice and reviews regarding my work, but I would also love to meet other writers and make new friends. =)

Here's my *official* bio: =)

Angela’s writing career includes several positions as a freelance writer, poet, blog author, and the Sacramento City Life Examiner for Examiner.com.

Angela has also been published in the Metrosphere 1997/1998 and 1998/1999 editions, poetry books, and journals. She wrote and illustrated a bilingual, English/Spanish, anti-graffiti coloring book that was published and distributed to several Denver area elementary schools as part of a community outreach program in 1998. Angela was mentioned in Denver’s 5280 Magazine in the October/November 2000 edition for her contribution to the Denver community through this coloring book.

Angela published her first complete book of poetry, “reflections of perceptions” in May 2007.

She has lived in, and traveled to, many different countries providing her with a rich resource for her writing. Angela received her Bachelor’s of Science – PreMed from the University of Colorado with the intent of attending Medical School in Seattle, WA. Instead, Angela moved to Sacramento and attended the University of California – Davis for her Masters in Forensic Science and then pursued a career in Law Enforcement as a Sacramento County Deputy Sheriff. Now a full time web coding monkey and writer, she is focused on making CCD Magazine a household name in the media industry. Angela currently resides in Northern California.

Look how accomplished you are! Goodness, I am used to so many fledgling writers like myself. You are out there! From one veteran to another, I heap praises upon you as I promised to the winner of Mirror, Mirror!
