Julia Scott-douglas

I have been writing since I was about 8 years old - granted, I didn't write anything very good, but it was good practice. I am now working on a novel and a few short stories for contests with the ultimate goal of getting published. I love Sci Fi, Fantasy, Supernatural, etc. Basically, anything that's fictional. I read a lot, and I have recently begun to brush up on my classics - but generally I read Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, Piers Anthony, Orson Scott Card, Robert Heinlein, Isaac Asimov, and much more. I've also started to read more poetry. My favorite poet so far is Edna St. Vincent Millay. That's pretty much it as far as writing goes. I also am working on my sketch art as I'd love to write some comic strips. I have funny ideas (at least I think they are funny), but I suck at drawing. I love the Far Side, Calvin and Hobbs, Garfield, etc. I also really like the online comics - Sluggy Freelance and Cyanide and Happiness.
