Val W. Caine

I'm an aspiring film writer, though for now film projects are a work in progress. I've written film shorts, and stages plays, but when I feel like relaxing I settle back and write poems. I'm majoring in Drama, with a minor in Sociology. People fascinate me, baffle me, and infuriate me, but I hold out the hope that someday, someone will get something right.
I love to entertain people. I think the imagination is the most powerful, and most important psychological tool that someone can possess. It's great to get a message out in something, but I'm not a fan of allusions or allegories. I'll use them on occasion, but I want to entertain people, and make them happy. Sometimes, making someone laugh or sit on the edge of their seat can make all the difference. Sometimes it's nice to just sit and enjoy a story, without having to analyze the hell out of it, and at the end of the night if you walk away with something more than just a good memory, that's great.
I'm a fan of music, and collect movie soundtracks. Having some skill in a couple different instruments, I enjoy writing lyrics for songs I could never possibly musically compose. I write anything from plays, to scripts, to poems, to lyrics, to short stories.
