I self published my first series in 6th grade. It wasn't great but I continue to improve it from time to time. I hope to be able to connect with other people who share the same passion for writing as I do and to gain some valuable opinions on how to improve my skills.

"A Work of Art"
A selection of artwork and literature by youth around the world. From poems to short stories to photographs this book showcases the extraordinary talent of a handful of unique individuals. Completely put together by 17 year old Ashley L. Lytle with work by a variety of other youth. 40% of the books royalties will be donated to support the United States fund for UNICEF in their effort to help children around the world.

"United We Stand"
From the creator of A Work of Art I present: UNITED WE STAND

Together let's let the world hear our voices, our concerns, about the issues we care about.

Through poetry, artwork, stories, and photographs let's speak out about issues we are passionate about.

Any issue that matters to you works. Looking for some examples? Here's a list but it's only a few:
Bullying
Homelessness
Politics
Animal Rights
Poverty
LGBTQ
Feminism
Deforestation
Climate Change

The list can go on and on. Let's use our talents to bring light to these important topics.

Now to the important specs. This project is a self-published masterpiece (one of many I have created). I'm 17 years old and think myself to be not only passionate but also compassionate.

You have until June 1st, 2016 to submit your entry to one of those following places:
For written pieces on the submit page
For any type of visual art please send it to [email protected]

By submitting you give me permission to publish and use your work. You still are the owner of the work and may use it in any way you wish.

NOTE: Artwork may only be used in regards to the cover art. I have yet to decide but it will depend on the submissions. Printing in color takes more money but I will choose to go for it if I feel there's a lot of visual pieces that should be included.

Those who are selected will be notified and will be given at that time more information as to next steps.

I have only three rules:
There are people who are uncomfortable with reading pornographic material so please keep it out unless you are speaking about sexual violence.
Nothing copyrighted. I shouldn't have to say this but just in case I'm putting this out there.
If it's been previously published I need you to check and see if it's allowed to be published elsewhere. Sometimes when someone publish your work they state that you can't publish your work with anyone else either forever or for a certain period of time. Anyways just make sure that's not going to be an issue.
