Finally, he lifts his gaze to mine. Something glints in his eyes, something hard, dangerous, and broken. The moonlight coming from somewhere above puts half his face in shadow, showing the contours of his face. "I don't care. They killed my sister." He stands, breaking out of my embrace. "Please, Tinder! Please!" I sob, running after him, but he doesn't stop. "They killed my sister." "Just because your sister is dead does not mean that you should get yourself killed too!" He stops and turns to me, giving me a tender look as he wipes a tear off my cheek, his callused skin rough against mine. "I'm sorry, Karlena." He starts off again. Salty tears stream down my face as I try to pull him back, back to the cave system, back to safety, but my hands slip on his black silk clothes and he continues on, machine-like. I cry his name but he doesn't so much as blink. Taking a shaky breath, I gather my strength. I know what I have to do. Karlena and Tinder, Rogue sorry this is kinda a spoiler but I wrote it last night and it hurt my heart it just made my heart ache and I thought that I should share this with you |
