I don't have a specific genre. I write poetry, novels, shorts, flash, and freelance (when I need extra money). My heart belongs to poetry. Currently in the final editing stage of my first Novella due out in January through Silverthought Press. Shopping a poetic manuscript about a baptist childhood. I'm a over half done with a draft of a speculative fiction Novel set in New Orleans which is posted on Silverthought.com under Megan's Closet. I love my kids more than life. Pitbulls, Bassett Hounds, and coffee make me smile. I rant mostly against consumerism and writers with massive egos. Lived in South Florida, New Orleans, and Pennsylvania. In the process of starting my own Indie Publishing company--should be up and running sometime in February. I suck at performing my stuff-working on that. One semester away from my Masters in Transformative Language Arts. I do poetry workshops for teens and kids in the local public schools and host Thursday night Poetry Jams. I'll review author's that want true feedback as opposed to pats on the back. If you're looking for truth I'll review as time allows. I don't deal well with writer's who can't take critiques. This is the best way I've been able to learn. I'll always respect those who can step up and say something isn't working.
