Just a free-verse poem about life as a kid

Just wrote this poem. Overall very simple.

I lost my voice right before a poetry recital...

This is actually a song I wrote. Some verses were added for length

One night, I was at a friend of mine's house. However, he was not there. So, while I was waiting, I subsequently wrote this poem.
