February 12, 1936: Aboard the Haydapasssar

A Chapter by Kristin Brecoe
"

A quick entry from aboard the Haydapassar.

"

Diary,

Sorry if this entry appears choppy and harsh to read. The boat stops in a matter of minutes.

I'm sitting next to Bob, who is grinning at the fact I have been using the journal he sent me. We are finally aboard the Haydapassar after a brief delay. A fire started under the dining-cart, and left us probably twenty minutes behind schedule. At first, I'll admit, I overreacted. It is most important that we catch that train. If we don't, then months of planning and sleepless nights would all be a waste.

My love has gotten up to check on the chances of making the stop. I must go too, and prepare to find a place before me head onto the Stamboul-Calais.
