You call yourself supernatural

Abnormal, fabulous, mystical and rare

So you are Fairy-like?

With magic dust and papered wings

 

You call yourself an angel

Legendary, angelic, holy and godlike

So you are a phantom?

With invisible looks and smell of death

 

You call yourself immortal

Superhuman, mythological, Olympian and eternal

So you are a zombie?

With dead flesh and the graving of life

 

You call yourself paranormal

Spiritual, wonderful, psychic and superior

So you think you are in charge?

With harsh words and foolish commands

 

You call yourself a vampire

Dark, eternal, otherworldly and supreme

So you think you are a blood sucker?

With your sharp teeth and cold skin

 

You call yourself supernatural

With this word and that word

They are all the same

 

You can be supernatural

Doesn’t mean you’re beautiful

I loved how this piece really makes us aware that power and charisma is not what makes one beautiful. The flow and choice of your words brings the images of each stanza clearly into my mind as I read. Overall a very nice poem! :-)
