frost

frost

A Poem by annie lee
"

tanka

"

like piles of snow up

against the back door -- the wind

swirls the icy flakes

into little pirouettes

diamond flakes flashing

in the winter sun.

the words i want to say pile

up against that door

all i can do is look away and

close my eyes to dream of spring
