Brown Eyed Boy

Brown Eyed Boy

A Poem by Kasey Miriam

So there's this guy I've known most of my life
He's got the brightest brown eyes I've ever seen
And chocolate brown hair to match
Artist and funny, he's a bit of a jack of all trades
He's sweet and kind and has a gentle side, but still is a rough and tough man
There's so much to him that he doesn't see as wonderful as they are
23 years old and knighted in Germany
Spunky and loyal as can be.
I dare say he stole my heart years ago
Perhaps we missed our chance
If that's the case this man will walk his whole life with my heart and I wouldn't dream of getting it back
He's my rock
And he's carried me through my hardest times
He's my closest friend and the only one to put up with me for 16 years
I wouldn't trade him for the world
He's my braver half and my protector

I can see him clearly from the way you described him! He has your heart and soul, that's for sure. Whether you are with him or not, no one will ever measure up to him. I have a small edit for you...last line, I think you mean, "will walk his whole life"....figured you would want to change that. Well written...from the heart. Lydi**

Thank you so very much
Nicely done; I knew a brown eyed man once, but his eyes were a lighter shade. So arresting; you couldn't look away! I will love him forever, although he was never really mine.
Good job!

What a story. Missed chances are hard to get back. Remorse might set in. I see you like all the qualities in him.
