It happens, that when you are close to someone, their loss changes your life forever

Its difficult to say, goodbye
after only one life together
But I promise dear friend
I will remember you for ever


It was so cruel

What life did to you
I had lost a friend
So genuine and true


Now all thats left
are the memories of you
Pictures and stories
of the things we'd gone through


Each day, every night
I think about you
Of the laughs, of the jokes
and the things you might do


No one can ever take your place
I can promise you this
Its hard to find someone like you
you'll always be missed

What a wonderful tribute to your friend and to friendship in general. I'm sorry to say I know this feeling first hand; I lost my best friend about 5 years ago and I still think of him every day. We were friends for over thirty years through thick and thin; through wives and kids, divorces and graduations, it takes a long time for the pain to ease and the memories never die.
