I am alone

I am on my own

Sitting here in dead silence

With nightmares of violence.

I wish you couldn’t see the harm

That I cause to my arm;

But it’s better than suicide

On this lifelong roller coaster ride.

There’s nothing any one can do,

Except TRY to help me through.

This urge begins to overcome me

So I act happy

Because I’m sad.

I act glad

When I’m mad.

I am prone

To cut when I’m alone.
