Red Swollen Eyes

I look at myself in the mirror,

as my red swollen eyes,

starte back at me,

oi look at them and

see how much pain im in,

how much o f that pain is mine,

and how much pain is caused by others.

 

These read swollen eyes,

show so much that noone can see,

i hide them in the darkness,

where i can only feel the tears,

that flow so much,

they hold so many secrets,

that need to be told,

they hold lies,

that need truth,

they hold guilt and shame,

that need let out,

they hold regrets and mistakes,

i wish could be forgotten.

 

The red swollen eyes,

all they do is cry and cry,

the tears never stop flowing,

i try so hard to ignore the pain,

but its way to strong,

so i lay on my bed,

in the dark,

gripping my pillow tight,

while these red swollen eyes cry and cry.
