The Kingdom of Anora is a vast region where magic is the ruling power. After the Battle for the Old Kingdom, the deciding battle in a cataclysmic war that tore the kingom apart, The Order of Mages was formed. The Order is based out of an age old castle, home to some of the most powerful, surviving mages of their time. At first the Order brought peace to a land decimated by war, setting up seperate ruling districts, but as the centuries progressed, they sought to control and bind magic to only those deemed "worthy" enough to wield it. In the present, the Order is the primary controlling force in the world, but the general public only sees their “political puppets” they have set in place and their actual location has been lost to this age. But reports of disappearances are appearing from all over the country, and while the Order is working rapidly, other forces are moving much more quickly. A race begins between many allegiances to find the fabled Lost Shards, each one a connection to one of 7 flows of magic. One man, surrounded in a world of injustice, must choose his path wisely, for light doesn’t always allude to the pure, and darkness doesn’t always forebode evil. He will encounter various other surviving Orders of the Old Kingdom, and must chose his allegiance carefully, for his decision may change the course of history, and the lives of all those around him
