A Chapter by alan khan

FOX always loved to spend money. Her favorite kind of money to spend was the money belonging to the person she was with. She'd always love to eat, always enjoyed going out, seeing a movie, getting dessert. The few times before this summer we had gone out i always paid for everything. Normally i wasn;t like that, but something about her. I;m not sure what it was...i was happy to give away my money just so she wouldnt have to move to her purse. so i could sit there and watch her.

We went out for a bite to eat.

"I'll have a water."

"I;ll have a diet coke. You dont want something other than water?"

"No that's alright."

We gave the waitress our orders and she walked away with plain discontent on her face. "You dont seem like a water chick"

"Water's free. doesnt add to the bill." My kind of woman. We got the food.

"So what've you been up to while i was in Canada?"

"Ahh. nothing at all really. Missing you."

"Haha. it was so weird. but i really did miss you while i was gone."

She smiled slightly, "I know i was like, okay i'll be fine. but once you were gone, it sucked."

"Sucked for sho'."

"You're so gay."

I flash her my large annoying smile, her pity giggle a sign to stop.

"So what time is the movie?"

She stopped eating and thought for a second, looking at the time. "F**k, in ten minutes."

"Jesus." I quickly paid the bill, her tip calculator already on it's way to telling me how much i should leave.

Stepping out my car into the dry summer heat, i noticed her no longer in my side view. Looking back for her. She was looking down at her foot. "F**k me, f*****g gum on my f*****g flip flop."

I laughed, "Here."  Picking her leg up, the warm smooth skin like hot silk against my hands, making my chest pound, she rested her gentle hand on my shoulder to balance herself. What the f**k is this? Even a simple touch from her, made my head light. I pulled the gum off her shoe.

"Eww what the f**k."

"What?"

"That's disgusting." She was laughing. "Make sure you wash your hands when we get in there."

We bought the ticket and got popcorn. She didnt want any, full from the meal. Shoving my hand down into the bag she stopped me, "You didnt wash your hands did you."

I spat the popcorn in my mouth out. Her laughing at me in the cool dark cinema. Her legs a white shine against the light from the screen. "It's off your shoe isnt it?"

She smiled, not just for the sake of smiling. She was smiling at me, with me.

Great chapter .. moves the relationship along beautifully .. not sure about all the expletives but you know the coy Brit chick!

I like the way you describe her, the hints of her attitudes, likes and dislikes, her naughty humour and the common sense too. Not sure I know who you are yet..must read the other chapters .. and will.

Again.. A sweetness comes off the page... Fox is just like me.. Won't eat off the floor ... And endearing trait with a touch of mother hen...
Last line is a killer.
