Who am I?

Who am I?

A Poem by Alemu Wolde-Michael
"

The unavoidable truth: There is but one 'I' in the body reading these words.

"

Who am I?

‘I’ am the wind my love
The gentle breeze that touch your hair
‘I’ am the sky
The moon
The countless stars
Every sound
In all things ‘I’ am found
In this heart
Your heart
Larger than the sky
Laughter, tears of joy am ‘I’
This ‘I’
Your ‘I’
Just
‘I’

"Before Abraham was born, 'I' am."
(Holy Bible: John 8:58)

The scriptures tell us the kingdom of God is within
Therefore, the source has to be 'I'
This surely means that 'I' alone am responsible for my life
