Your Disposition

Your Disposition

A Poem by Allyson Wolfe

My darling,
I don't think you clearly see,
how much you mean to me..

The things I've asked of you,
I know, they're heavy, serious things..
But you know, they help me too.

I go through a hard regime every day,
and nothing I do can really
be enough to please you..
Not anymore..

My darling,
I wish to help you see,
the things you really do for me,
but that awful disposition of yours...
That disposition that says,
"Why did you come home late?"
"Why did you not bring me supper?"
With the "why this" and the "why thats"
you've hurt my heart.
No band aid can fix this.

My Jasmine,
my flower,
come back to me, smelling sweet.
Put your bitterness aside,
and return a more pleasant disposition please.

Very good poem, and an excellent read. I enjoyed it. About the Jasmine; are you referring to the flower, or Jasmine as in a name?
