Beauty and Fowl

Beauty and Fowl

A Poem by Allyson Wolfe

Wrapped in golden silk,

inhaling the scent of sweet lilacs-

their perfume purer than roses,

she walks along the crystal shore,

the golden grains of sand

match the golden strands of her hair.

Looking past the willow trees,

branches swaying ever so,

Leda sees her passion,

wildest dream,

embodied in white feathers,

more pure than snow.

The beak of said passion

dipped in obsidian,

Golden eyes stare into her,

her soul soars as she finds her match.

Beauty and fowl,

coupled in supreme power.

Cygnet.
