A Love So Great

A Love So Great

A Poem by Allyson Wolfe

It started with a simple trick,
The perfect kiss?
a love so great it makes me sick.

Your possession was so unfair,
It was so wrong!
a love so sad, we weren't aware.

I cried, you laughed; we must be done,
It was just one life...
a love so short to have begun.

It's over now, I'll go away,
Why must I do this?
I beg, my love, ask me to stay!

I'd rather live than die today,
I just need to survive today.
