![]() A Love, UnlovedA Poem by Allyson Wolfe![]() Written with a new lover in mind.![]()
Settling for second best,
this horrid feeling in my chest, All this is, is just a test, I only let you do this lest I forget the touch of men. Something different? I have allowed this unloving lust, not that I'm proud of that you've taken. I have avowed to declare my love for someone else. The passion and heat, the desire; they'll meet! A love, so wanted, could be so sweet! Instead you've left me in pure defeat, a feeling I never hoped to greet... Settling for second best? I've always hoped I could confess to loving you! My dear! So sweet! Is it something you would have ever guessed?
