The Captivity of the Swan

The Captivity of the Swan

A Poem by Allyson Wolfe

Feather-caged virgins,
entrapped in desires too great for their own knowing.
The captivity of the swan,
oh it will devour the soul of the pure,
and capture the spirit of the docile.

A stunning assessment of what I'm guessing is the story of Leda. If not, then you've unconsciously told the story as vividly as it can be told in five lines. Awesome^^
